Pamela (Pam) Norton (nee Coughlin), 57, from Canton, was born August 8, 1958 and passed away peacefully after a challenging battle with mitochondrial disease on August 16, 2015. A 1976 Green High School graduate, she attended the University of Akron. When able she attended St. Peter’s Church in Canton.
Despite the adversity of dealing with decades of her own serious health challenges, she lived her life as an unselfish caregiver to her mother and sister. Her kind heart, great sense of humor and attitude were always contagious. As a woman of deep faith and wisdom she was always there, ready to listen, and to give the best advice whenever she was needed, to those closest to her. Pam loved dancing, and the elegance of high style.
Pam was preceded in death by James (father) and Norma (mother) Coughlin (Presley) as well as Michelle (sister) Maurer. She is survived by her brothers Jim (Mary) Coughlin of Wisconsin, Mike (Kay) Coughlin of Colorado, her sister Monica Weider of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews.
Pam lives on in the hearts of many dear Friends that will miss her smile, laugh, and words of wisdom. Of those Friends, Pam would say that she did not know how she would have gotten through so many of life’s trials without them.
A Gathering to Celebrate Pam’s Life will be held on Oct.1st, 2015, beginning at 5:30, at JRC Apartments (formerly St. Paul’s Senior Housing), 1732 Market Ave N., North Canton, Ohio.
